FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY

Lyun Magazine Publication: Coastal Chaser

My third publication this year was in the new Magazine Lyun Magazine for their Spring issue. I had already shot this editorial as a test but I had not released all the images and therefore I felt they should be in print as they are too beautiful not to share.

Victoria is a fantastic model with perfect fluidity in her posing styles, One of my methods when shooting is to give basic direction and let the model express themselves how they feel comfortable- this has always given me the best images and beautiful portraits. Mostly it has made for comfortable shoots with a lot of fun involved.

Salysé Magazine Publication: City Scapes

It is always great to see your work in print, but it is even better when it is in a publication as beautiful as Salysé Magazine. I was so happy to have my submission of my City Scape editorial accepted and published in their April Issue.

What is great about these shoots is I have full art direction from casting models/team to designing the shoot and how I would like the final outcome. This was all shot within 4 hours in London city around Liverpool St and the Thames. I had a perfect model in Mariam who was diverse and able to take direction well. We had a battle with the weather which was against us but this editorial was shot, selected, edited, submitted and accepted within a 24 hour period (proving how strong this series was).

Essex Living Publication

It was a great honour to be picked to Photograph the Fashion issue cover of the Essex Living Magazine this April. I art directed and shot the cover story with a great team of girls. We chose Hatfield Place as the setting with its beautiful tall windows and beautiful interior features- it was the perfect location but shooting in February was always going to be a challenge to get the spring light.
This was a fashion story about the local boutiques and their accessories, whilst Laura sourced the clothing I worked alongside her to source the accessories and include as many boutiques and brands as we could in 6 pages.

Working alongside Laura the stylist, we designed the shoot to work the core Spring/Summer trends including Greens & beiges, this worked for the Spring colour theme as well as giving us a lovely neutral palette to work with. We wanted a spring floral theme but in January there isn’t much in bloom, therefore we decided to work with artificial flower arrangements by the amazingly talented Made You Look Flowers. The set looked so bright and spring like. With the Make-up & hair, Alannah kept it very soft, feminine and eye catching.

As a team we worked perfectly together and would love to work on more jobs for example brand look books & campaigns.

Beauty comes in all shapes & sizes

THIS WEEK IT WAS ALL ABOUT PLUS SIZE BLOGGERS JOEY, ROB & JEN- AND CREATING BODY POSITIVE PORTRAITS THAT WOULD SHOW THEIR PERSONALITIES AT THEIR BEST. HOWEVER BEING SOMEONE WHO IS ALSO PLUS SIZE, WE DECIDED I WOULD JOIN THE SHOOT AND PUT MYSELF IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA-SOMETHING THAT WAS OUT OF COMFORT ZONE BUT THIS SHOOT WAS FULL OF FUN, CONFIDENCE BOOSTING AND STYLE.

FOR BLOGGER STYLE SHOOTS, I CREATE A THEME, A MOOD BOARD AND FIND THE PERFECT LOCATIONS TO TELL YOUR STORY.

THE THEME OF THE SHOOT: PUMPKIN SPICE
LOCATION: LEIGH-ON-SEA.
